TheLadders Hosts First-Ever National Mobile Summit

Job-matching giant TheLadders is challenging the recruiting industry to embrace mobile technology with its inaugural JobMobile Summit. The two-day event will showcase speakers from some of the world’s most innovative technology companies to demonstrate how the recruiting industry, which only now is starting to adopt new technologies since job listings evolved from newspapers to online more than a decade ago, can integrate mobile technology to source and place the best talent.

According to a recent white paper from TheLadders, while the recruiting industry has yet to make the shift to mobile, one in five job searches are conducted on mobile devices, and 86 percent of job seekers who have a smartphone would use it to search for a job if convenient options were available.

“As of several years ago, mobile technology has disrupted industries from travel to retail to banking, and the momentum is finally starting to build for recruiting,” said Alex Douzet, CEO & co-founder of TheLadders. “Our JobMobile Summit will bring together cross-strategy thought leaders to share their experiences, challenges and best practices for creating the best mobile experience for their respective consumers, enabling us to emulate that experience for today’s busy job seekers and employers.”

In addition to keynote speaker, Douzet, and motivational speaker, I Will Foundation’s Matt Long, TheLadders will host an esteemed lineup of presenters representing renowned industry disruptors, including:

1. Susan Lyne, CEO of Content Brands, AOL
2. Guy Story, CTO & Chief Scientist, Audible
3. Eric Harris, EVP of Business Ops, BuzzFeed
4. Dr. Gavin Michael, Head of Digital, Consumer Banking, Chase
5. Tim Reis, Head of Mobile Solutions, Google
6. Aaron Schildkrout, Co-founder & Co-CEO, HowAboutWe

8. John Caine, Chief Product Officer, Priceline
9. David Liu, Co-founder & CEO, XO Group Inc.
10. Eric Jaquith, Senior Director of Global Recruiting Strategy & Innovation, staffing industry

Additionally, panel discussions bringing together senior-level hiring managers and recruiters from disruptive companies such as Chartbeat, Foursquare, LearnVest, Priceline, Spotify, Tumblr, XO Group Inc., and Dave Partners, will focus on their mobile-recruiting trials and successes.
