Endeavor Global Uses Jobscience Recruiting to Match MBA Students With International Entrepreneurs

Jobscience Helps Endeavor Create a Year-Round Program That Gives U.S. Students International Business Experience

Jobscience Inc., the leader in Recruiting Engagement software, today announced that Endeavor Global, a non-profit organization that supports high-impact, high-growth entrepreneurs around the world, uses Jobscience’s cloud-based recruiting platform to match MBA students and mid-career fellows with companies around the globe. Jobscience has helped Endeavor accelerate placements by 4-8 weeks and create a year-around program to place more candidates with international companies.

“When we were trying to place MBAs for summer positions, we were losing candidates because the process took so long that they would accept other offers in the meantime,” said David Wachtel, SVP Marketing and Communications at Endeavor. “But now with Jobscience, we are connecting MBA students directly with companies and we’re able to facilitate the matches much quicker.”

“Originally this had been a summer program, but Jobscience’s recruiting automation solution has streamlined the process so well, we’re now able to continue to place students in programs throughout the year — opening up many more opportunities for both students and companies,” added Wachtel.

Prior to deploying Jobscience Recruiting, Endeavor had employee-staffed programs designed to introduce companies to interested MBA students. Endeavor employees spent much of their time explaining projects and connecting entrepreneurs with students. Now entrepreneurs post their projects on a Jobscience-driven Talent Board, where interested students can read about various projects and contact the entrepreneurs directly. Endeavor acquired the Jobscience software through a generous grant from Barclays, which sponsors the organization’s eMBA program.

“Jobscience has saved our staff a significant amount of time that was previously spent handling administrative tasks,” said Wachtel. “Now we have the time to work with entrepreneurs to refine their project definitions and give value-add inputs to the process.”

“With the current job market and rising costs of education, it is more important than ever for graduates to have experience that stands out from the pack,” said Ted Elliott, CEO of Jobscience. “It is exciting to see Endeavor use our recruiting technology to help give U.S. business students opportunities for international experience.”

About Endeavor

Hailed by NYT columnist Thomas Friedman as the “mentor capitalist” model and “the best anti-poverty program of all,” Endeavor identifies entrepreneurs leading high-growth innovative companies in emerging and growth markets. These entrepreneurs are given world-class strategic advice, access to key networks and other tools that will catapult them to success. With Endeavor’s guidance they become “high-impact” — expanding employment, generating wealth and inspiring others to innovate. Often overlooked, these local entrepreneurs are now jumpstarting private sector development in their countries.

At year-end 2012, Endeavor Entrepreneurs throughout Latin America, South Africa, Turkey, Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon had created more than 200,000 jobs and generated over $6 billion in revenues. In 2012 Endeavor expanded operations to include new affiliates in Saudi Arabia, Indonesia and Greece. This year it launched in Morocco and a first-ever US affiliate in Miami, Florida.
