Top Echelon Contracting President a New Contributor to Social-Hire
There are a number of blogs that offer recruiters social recruiting advice, but few, if any, do it with a unique focus on contract staffing. Top Echelon Contracting President Debbie Fledderjohann is doing just that as she begins contributing to Social-Hire’s online blog.
Social-Hire, a social media marketing agency for the recruitment industry, strives to provide the best job search and recruiting advice on its Social-Hire.com blog. The site boasts that articles typically receive 200 or more social shares and 1,000+ page views with top performing articles receiving much more.
Social-Hire.com relies on a global pool of contributors and guest bloggers, which now includes Fledderjohann, a 20-year veteran of the staffing industry. As President of the contract staffing back-office service Top Echelon Contracting (TEC), Fledderjohann has helped direct hire recruiters add contract staffing to their business models since 1992. During that time, she has also become a well-known industry trainer, conducting training sessions at conferences across the United States, including presentations at NAPS and CSP. In addition, Fledderjohann writes press releases and blog articles for her company’s Recruiter’s Contract Staffing Blog. She has written Top Echelon Contracting’s newsletter, Contracting Corner, since 2006, reaching over 12,000 recruiters.
Her posts for Social-Hire will mainly provide social media techniques specifically for recruiters who provide contract staffing services.
“The process for making contract placements is essentially the same as direct hires when recruiters utilize a contract staffing back-office,” Fledderjohann said. “However, we have found there are some tips and tricks specific to contract staffing that can really enhance the social media efforts of contract staffing recruiters. A number of the candidates interested in contract positions are members of the younger generation who have grown up with technology and rely on the Internet and social media for their job searches. These tips, which we have provided through the years on our own blog, can help recruiters better reach these contract candidates. We are anxious to share them with a larger audience through Social-Hire.” Fledderjohann has already published two blog posts through Social-Hire. In her first article, titled “What’s Going to Happen in Recruiting in 2014?” Fledderjohann predicted what trends would be prevalent in staffing and recruiting in 2014. Her most recent article, “Facebook for Recruiting?” discussed how Facebook’s Graph Search could be utilized for recruiting and specifically what searches could be run to find candidates interested in contract work. Fledderjohann will continue to contribute to Social-Hire on at least a monthly basis.
Established in 1992, TEC helps recruiting and staffing firms launch and grow their contract staffing services by becoming the W-2 employer of their technical, professional, and healthcare contractors. They do business in 49 states, handling all the financial, administrative, and legal details of a contract placement, including contracts with contractors and client companies, background checks, employment paperwork, payroll processing and funding, tax withholding and filing, unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, offering and administering Affordable Care Act-compliant benefits administration, and more.
