Tripletrack HR next entrant to medical campus

A Williamsville-based human resources firm sees big opportunities on the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus – and they’re leasing space to prove it.

TripleTrack HR Partners, which was founded 10 years ago and currently has six employees, has opened a new location in the Thomas R. Beecher Jr. Innovation Center.

For now, it’s just a cubicle in the Innovation Center’s fourth floor incubator. The firm’s employees rotate a day each week, with an eye on clients in the Innovation Center and its especially its “d!g” space for early-stage companies.

“We wanted to have a presence here because we know there are a lot of small startup companies, and we specialize in small- to medium-sized companies,” saidKathy Saccomando, a TripleTrack client relations administrator.

TripleTrack offers a suite of HR functions, handling everything from employee handbooks to managing benefits to compliance issues. Saccomando said TripleTrack has only established one meeting with a potential medical campus client thus far, but expects that to pick up after it hosts a networking event from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Sept. 10 at d!g. Innovation Center tenants and some 43North semifinalists will attend the invitation-only event. Invitations can be obtained at 716-639-8041.

TripleTrack is an interesting test case for ancillary services on the medical campus. Other firms – such as the Superior Group in the staffing industry – have quietly established major toeholds as the campus has exploded in recent years, and much hope is pinned on how major institutional projects attract private companies.

“We wanted a presence here because we didn’t think there were any HR companies out here to help startups,” Saccomando said. “We’re hoping to bring awareness of our services and HR to the campus.
