SUNZ Insurance Company Names CFO and Director of Risk Management

SUNZ Insurance Company announced today the promotion of two key employees: Linda Bishop, CPA, has been promoted to Chief Financial Officer andChris Sullivan has been named to Director of Risk Management.

Bishop has been serving as the controller for SUNZ since her hiring in 2008.  As the Chief Financial Officer, she will be overseeing the company’s finance department with direct responsibilities of financial reporting, investment oversight and serving as the financial liaison to the Departments of Insurance in all SUNZ operating states.

Prior to joining SUNZ, Bishop spent six years at Kforce, Inc., in Tampa, as a Senior Analyst in the Corporate Planning department, conducting financial planning and analysis.  In this role, Bishop was responsible for preparation of annual budgets, monthly forecasting, variance analysis and special projects.  Bishop is a Certified Public Account in the State of Illinois and received her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Northern Illinois University.

Chris Sullivan has been promoted to Director of Risk Management for SUNZ. Sullivan joined SUNZ in 2013 in the role of Loss Control Manager.  In this newly created role, he will be overseeing the areas of Loss Control, Risk Management and Underwriting. Sullivan came to SUNZ from THE SCI COMPANIES (SCI) as the Director of Risk Management, holding the position for over 22 years.  During this time, Sullivan was responsible for leading all facets of Risk Management operations including Team Development, Process Improvement, Underwriting, Risk Analysis, Loss Control, Claims Management and Sales Support. Prior to SCI, Sullivan worked with FCCI and the Hardaway Company.

With more than 27 years of workers’ compensation risk management experience, Sullivan brings a wide-range of risk consulting and cost containment expertise to his new role.  Sullivan received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Risk Management from Eastern Kentucky University.
