This new service will provide greater speed and more information regarding employment and income history for pre employment screening, offering clients a whole new level of insight into both.
easyBackgrounds will directly access the official IRS database, reviewing tax forms (specifically, W-2s and 1099s) to authenticate a candidate’s comprehensive work history. Employers omitted from a candidate’s resume, false employment history, salary misrepresentations, and other discrepancies are easily identified through this powerful new service. W2s and 1099s will be available starting two years prior to the current year (i.e., a 2011 W2 filed in 2012 will be available in 2013) plus the nine years before that. For example, in 2016, W2s and 1099s will be available for 2005 through 2014.
