Sam Sacco, a long-time owner and Principal at R. A. Cohen Consulting (RACC), announced the addition of Mark Zacha as an Associate of the well-respected Mergers and Acquisitions advisory firm founded in 1991.  The firm’s founder Bob Cohen passed away in November of 2013.

Mark has been involved in the staffing industry for over 33 years as a business owner and working for large independent and Franchise Owned firms. In the late 80’s he joined Beacon Services in Western Michigan, a staffing firm founded by his mother, Judy Zacha where he rose to become President and helped launch additional brands and branches.  When the firm was sold to Elwood Staffing, Mark stayed on in a variety of roles and then moved into the Franchise industry where he worked for PrideStaff, an 85-location staffing franchisor.

Mark spent many years as the leader for the Independent Staffing Alliance, a network of independently owned staffing firms who shared best practices and acted as Board of Directors for each member firm.  Having acquired staffing firms and sold his own firm, Mark brings a unique experience to those looking to grow or divest.  He has many years of consulting experience in accounting, operations, payroll, sales, technology, and franchising.  This allows him to relate to our clients empathetically while foreseeing issues before they become obstacles in the acquisition process.

Mark and his wife Karla Hertzog, a previous ASA Chairperson live in San Diego, CA.  He joins Sam and another Associate, Brian Kennedy to form a team with over 110 years of experience in the staffing industry.

Since it was founded, RACC has successfully completed almost 200 transactions in the staffing industry sector.  Additionally, the company prepares valuations and advises companies on how to improve their value prior to making a selling decision.
